About
We named the company after the lesson.
Nicl means Never Call a Cold Lead. It started as a philosophy, became a method, and turned into a company.
The origin
A quarter that changed the rules.
In 2021, Kevin OLeary was running demand generation at a B2B software company and inherited a team of ten outbound reps living under activity quotas: sixty calls a day, or a performance plan.
The first thing he did was delete the activity metrics. He told the team: everyone's goal is two qualified meetings a week, and I don't care how you get there. Send two emails, if they turn into two conversations, you're done.
That quarter was the best the team had ever had. When leadership put the reps back on activity metrics, production dropped.
The lesson stuck, and it became the company name: never call a cold lead. If you build the system to produce warmth, you never have to.
What we believe
Four commitments that shape the work.
Architecture Over Playbooks
Most firms hand you what worked at their last client. We design architecture specific to your company: your product, your market, your team's strengths, your constraints. Copying someone else's system is like copying their diet. It won't fit.
We Stay Through Proof
Strategy without execution is fiction. We don't hand you a deck and disappear. We stay through pilot and implementation. By the time we step back, you've seen the system work in production. You're not hoping it works, you know it does.
Systems That Compound
Most GTM tactics expire. Campaigns end. Sequences decay. We build feedback loops into the architecture so the system gets smarter every quarter: which signals convert, which plays perform, which channels produce real pipeline. Systems compound. Tactics don't.
Human-First, Always
When people get a corporate email address, they lose a little of their humanity, and it degrades from there. We build the opposite. Bring your whole self to work. If someone on our team is sick, they rest. We think businesses should operate more humanly, not less, and that shows up in how we treat clients and each other.
The team
Small on purpose.

The Swan partnership
Daily, not decorative.
Some partnerships are logos on a slide. Ours with Swan is daily: we run our own company on it, we implement it for clients, and their team builds off what we learn in the field. We chose to go deep on one platform instead of shallow on ten because that's what we'd want from anyone we hired: someone who has actually lived in the tool, not someone reading the docs alongside us.
